Open Season 2009

What is Open Season?
Open Season is the time of year when federal employees are able to enroll in the FEHB, change options, plans or carriers and cancel coverage.

When is Open Season? Open Season begins Monday Novmeber 9th and ends Monday December 14th.

When do Open Season changes become effective?
  • For active employees, changes take place the first day of the first pay period in January.
  • For annuitants open season changes take place January 1st.
