Wellness Credit Program

Our health matters. When we take care of ourselves, we're happier, healthier, and able to do the things we want to. If that's not enough of a reason to make healthy choices, WellPoint sweetens the deal with a wellness credit so we pay less for our medical coverage when we demonstrate specific health results. Remember: Health results, including the tobacco-free component, are measured in the fall of each year during Know Your Numbers. Stay tuned this summer for more information on how you can take the credit.
How the Wellness Credit Program Works
You and your spouse/domestic partner can earn a wellness credit for showing results in three areas:
1) Being tobacco-free (or completing Quit for Life) -- $200
2) Having a BMI under 30 or showing a 5 percent weight loss over last year's screening -- $200
3) Having a blood pressure under 140/90 -- $200
The wellness credit you earn will be applied to the cost of your 2014 Total Rewards medical coverage.
