Our health matters. When we take care of ourselves, we're happier, healthier, and able to do the things we want to. If that's not enough of a reason to make healthy choices, WellPoint sweetens the deal with a wellness credit so we pay less for our medical coverage when we demonstrate specific health results.
You and your spouse/domestic partner can earn a wellness credit for showing results in four areas*:
The wellness credit you earn will be applied to the cost of your 2015 Total Rewards medical coverage.
Check out http://www.wellpointmyhealth.com/
for all the ways you can put wellness to work for you so you're ready to take the credit later. (Log in with your US Domain ID and password.) You'll also find more wellness credit information in the Wellness Credit Guidelines and FAQs posted on the Help section of the site. Spouses/domestic partners use the same site and need to register using your current US Domain ID or use the username and password they created last year.
* If you complete Know Your Numbers and do not meet the BMI or blood pressure standards in this program, you will still have an opportunity to qualify for the wellness credit by completing an eligible wellness program. If the eligible wellness program isn't right for you in light of your health status, we will work with you and, if you wish, your doctor to modify the program as needed. After your Know Your Numbers screening, you can visit the My Wellness Credits page of http://www.wellpointmyhealth.com/
to request an alternative way of earning the credit. You will need to complete the eligible wellness program by Feb. 28, 2015, and this portion of your wellness credit will begin in your first paycheck of April, with a catch-up credit for January through February in that first paycheck. If getting a flu vaccine is not recommended for you based on your health status, your provider can indicate that on the wellness credit form that will be available later this year.
