Medicare Primary provides benefits to University of Colorado Retirees and Surviving Spouses who are Medicare eligible and enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B. Members can utilize any provider that accepts Medicare assignment in Colorado and throughout the United States. There is not a formulary under the Prescription Drug plan. Members will need to pay for the total cost of the prescription for retail drugs and then submit receipts to Anthem for reimbursement. You can request mail order drugs only through Anthem’s Pharmacy Benefit Manager (WellPoint NextRx) at 1-800-962-8192 or CU Mail Prescription Service at University of Colorado Hospital at (720)848-1432. Certain medications will require prior authorization.
