Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, in partnership with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, has developed Blue Distinction Centers for treatment of serious medical conditions.  
Anthem has prepared information to help members facing tough decisions on how to find a qualified hospital specializing in their medical issue. These Blue Distinction Centers include hospitals which have historically demonstrated quality clinical care and processes in special medical services. These designations help the member make more informed decisions when choosing a hospital for care for one of the following conditions, including Cardiac Care, Bariatric Surgery, and Transplants.
