PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions
Specialty medications are usually injectable drugs, but they can be available in other forms, like a pill or an inhalant. They usually require special handling, such as temperature-controlled packaging, individual dosing or express delivery. Most of these drugs are used to treat and manage complex diseases.
PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions (www.precisionrxspecialtysolutions.com) is our preferred full-service specialty pharmacy that delivers medications, including specialty drugs like yours, to more than 1 million people nationwide. Please see your certificate for complete details about your health plan benefits.
When you use PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions, you get personalized services and resources. These include a coordinated team that offers personal support related to your specialty medications and associated health care concerns, reminders when it’s time to refill your prescriptions, and a care management team that understands your needs and can provide helpful information about your condition and your doctor’s treatment plan.
For members who have coverage through a large group employer (51 or more employees): beginning on your 2007 plan renewal date, you may be required to fill prescriptions through our specialty pharmacy, PrecisionRx Specialty Solutions, for certain drugs or your plan won’t cover it.
If your doctor gets your specialty medication for you and it’s administered at the doctor's office or in a clinic, the drug still needs to be provided by a participating specialty pharmacy. Here’s the Specialty Drug List
