Hoosier Healthwise is Indiana’s health care program for children, pregnant women and low-income working families. It is a complex network of public and private health care providers who serve Indiana’s citizens. 
  
Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP)
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield was chosen to provide health benefits for Indiana's working poor under the Healthy Indiana Plan program. Governor Mitch Daniels proposed Healthy Indiana in hopes of reducing the estimated 850,000 Indiana residents who are uninsured.
