Virginia Customers Can Now Pay Bills Online at Anthem.com

Imagine having the ability to pay your health care premium with the same ease as other bills— online and with the push of a button. Now, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members in Virginia can do just that.
Most individual customers and employer group administrators can now send their monthly premiums conveniently and securely, at no cost to the individual or the company submitting the payment, for prompt credit to their accounts via www.anthem.com. Online payments must be made from a checking or savings account and will be credited to member accounts in two-to-three days.

Online bill payment will be available from:
| 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday|
| 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday|
| 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday|
Customers who attempt to access the online bill pay system after hours will see a message letting them know the times the system is available. During this time, systems are performing updates to ensure customer records remain current.
For individual members
To access the online payment option, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia individual policyholders will need to register for Member Self-Service on www.anthem.com. Once individual members are logged into the site, simply select “Service your Account” and choose the “Make Payment/View Billing Information” link. This feature is available to most individual policy holders.
For employer group benefit managers
Online bill pay for group benefit managers is available through the Benefit Manager Services portal located on www.anthem.com. To gain access to the site, administrators will need to complete a registration form and send it to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia. Once benefit managers have accessed the site, they should select “Employers,” enter the “Virginia” site, and then log-in to Benefits Managers Services. Then, simply select “Bill Payment” and follow the instructions on the screen. The service is available to all fully insured groups and self-funded groups that pay a level monthly premium.
Anthem.com registration and log-in automatically links members to the correct account and payment information. A confirmation page will be available for members to print and retain for their records.
