Generics Offer Savings and Choices
Employees may save money by requesting generic equivalent medications. Generics contain the same active ingredients as brand-name medications and are required by the Food and Drug Administration to perform in the same manner.

Broad Access and Expertise
Anthem offers access to nearly 52,000 participating network pharmacies – almost 99 percent of all pharmacies in the region – making it easier to find convenient locations to fill prescriptions. When a doctor prescribes a drug from the prescription drug list, employees enjoy potential cost savings. This list includes close to 1,000 medications.
