You’ve finished your application, and you’re on your way to having quality health coverage! 
Next step: Your first premium payment must be received by Anthem Blue Cross before your coverage is scheduled to start as shown by the “Expected Start Date” field on the previous Covered California Household Enrollment Summary page— or your coverage won’t be activated. In order to make your payment online, please visit our payment page at https://shop.anthem.com/sales/payment/exchange/home?state=CA, you will need the following items from the Covered California Household Enrollment Summary page:  

1) Exchange Subscriber ID – (Found under the Health Plan section)

2) Premium Amount – (Found under the Health Plan section as “Net Premium: $XXX per month”)

 
Additionally, you will be asked to provide the following information, which must match the information provided to Covered California: 

First and last name with middle initial

Home Address of primary subscriber

Telephone Number of primary subscriber

Email of primary subscriber

 
It is very important that all information is entered accurately. Entry of inaccurate information will result in a rejection of your payment and delays in activating your coverage. Please note that this payment site can only accept an initial payment, and not ongoing premium payments for maintenance of coverage. 
If you have received a letter requesting your initial payment, and you have already made payment in full through this site, no further action is required. 
Please do not send checks to Covered California or address checks to Covered California. 
Upon completion of your payment, expect a welcome package from us within 3-5 business days that will instruct you on the next steps to completing your enrollment. An Anthem Blue Cross ID card will be included. 
You can then register an account on anthem.com/CA – an easy and convenient resource to help you manage your health care. In your account, you can do the following: 
Find a Doctor. Look for a doctor and pharmacy in your network so you can get the care you need once your coverage begins.
Watch a video on how health coverage works. Select the Resources tab, then Video Tutorials.
Look up your prescription drugs. Check our drug list to see if your prescription medicine is covered.
 
With Anthem Blue Cross, you’ll have access to good doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, $0 preventive care (for checkups, shots, health screenings and other covered benefits to keep you healthy) and much more.
