Notice of Annual Maine Individual Market Rate Filing
We recently submitted our rate filing to the Maine Bureau of Insurance for regulatory review. Once our request and rates are finalized, this change will apply to your 2026 premium beginning in January.
The average proposed change is 25%, but individual plan changes can range from 10% to 30% depending on your age, where you live, and the type of plan you have. Proposed premium increases do not account for any Advance Tax Credit (APTC) subsidies you may receive.
The Affordable Care Act requires each member to be rated separately, so you’ll need to calculate the rate for each person covered under your plan. It’s easy. Just follow these steps to calculate your proposed 2026 monthly premium rate.
- Using the rate sheet links below, select the one that represents the county in which you live.
- Write down the first name and age of each person covered under your current 2025 plan. Please note: If you have more than 3 children under the age of 21 covered on your plan, you should only capture the rates for the 3 oldest children.
- Find your current 2025 plan and the member’s age.
- Write down the rate for the corresponding 2026 plan for each member.
- Add the premiums for each member together to get your total monthly premium for 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: The rates shown above are proposed rates. They are subject to review by the Maine Superintendent of Insurance. We will notify you of your actual 2026 premium rate prior to the next open enrollment period that starts November 1, 2025.
