Give employees that extra push

Learn what Anthem can do

Sometimes it just takes a little encouragement before you can make a health change. After all, it’s tough to break habits. That’s why Anthem offers resources to help people throughout their health care journey. Our nurse coaches answer questions, make recommendations, and keep employees on track — so they can stop smoking, start eating healthier, and get on the road to good health.

Our members are pleased with the programs — and our satisfaction scores say so, too. For instance, 93% of members say they would suggest our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to others. How’s that for keeping employees happy?

Our solutions

Employee Assistance Program

When the pressures of life get to be too great, they can take a toll on anyone’s physical, emotional and mental health. Our goal is to help members find the resources they need to address problems so they can reclaim their life and their health.

Our website helps employees manage their health — from home or on the go. Employees can easily find a doctor, look up a claim, take a personal health assessment and more. View a guided tour.

Healthy Lifestyles

Healthy Lifestyles is a well-being improvement solution. It focuses on physical, social and emotional behaviors. Members get personal health coaching over the phone and an online member portal featuring tracking tools for physical activity, nutrition and stress management.

24/7 NurseLine

Our 24/7 NurseLine gives employees accurate health information any time of the day or night. By using our convenient toll-free number, callers can speak to a nurse and make cost-effective decisions about their health care.

Quick Care Options

If employees have an urgent health issue, we’ll tell them where to go — a retail health clinic, urgent care center, or if needed, an ER. Chances are, they don’t need the ER and can choose an option that saves time and money.

Behavioral Health

Our Behavioral Health program is integrated with our health plans. It includes an extensive network of providers and facilities, including psychiatrists, social workers and residential treatment centers.

Imaging Cost and Quality

This program helps teach employees about high-quality, lower-cost imaging services. When employees are better informed about their health choices, they’re also more likely to spend their health care dollars more wisely.

LiveHealth Online

LiveHealth Online (LHO) is a quick and effective way for your employees to get care for common health issues, like colds or infections. LHO provides real-time, face-to-face visits with credentialed providers across a range of specialties. This happens through an online two-way video, a live chat or by phone anytime of the day or night. And, studies show that 85% of those visiting LiveHealth Online completely resolve their health issues—all without stepping foot into a doctor's office.

Health and Wellness program offerings vary by state. Specific programs are included in your health plan while others may be available for an additional cost. Contact your sales representative or broker for more information.
