Important Healthy Indiana Plan Changes

The Healthy Indiana Plan is changing. And this change might affect your health care coverage.

Current HIP members:
Were enrolled in HIP Plus, effective February 1, 2015
Will receive an invoice to make POWER Account contributions
May be moved to HIP Basic or disenrolled, depending on your income, for not paying monthly POWER Account contributions on time

Current Hoosier Healthwise (HHW) adults:
Were enrolled in HIP Basic plan, effective February 1, 2015
Have the option to become a HIP Plus member in the first 60 days of enrollment and have most copyaments eliminated by making a payment to your POWER Account

Current Marketplace members:
To guarantee that you can access HIP Plus benefits, update your account on the federal Marketplace:
Go to www.healthcare.gov and log in to your account
Select your existing application, choose Report a life change from the left menu
Review and update your application information, save and submit – even if there are no changes
Or update your account by calling the Health Insurance Marketplace at 1-800-318-2596
You must take these actions even if you’ve updated your Marketplace account this year. If you’re eligible for HIP and you still have reduced cost coverage on the federal Marketplace, you’ll face a tax penalty in 2016.

HIP Plus
