Help and support for members affected by the Colorado wildfires

PW_E196702
A series of wildfires swept through areas of Colorado on Tuesday, June 11. Our thoughts are with the people and communities affected — including the thousands who’ve been forced to leave their homes.
We’re taking some immediate steps to help our members who are affected. If you’re a member of one of our health plans and live in the Colorado counties of El Paso, Fremont or Huerfano — here are some changes we’ve made.
You can refill prescriptions early if they were lost or damaged due to the disaster, at any pharmacy location.
You can replace your medical equipment or supplies if they were lost or damaged due to the disaster.
Normal deadlines for filing claims after getting care are being extended.

Call the Member Services on your ID Card and let us know if any of your claims need to be adjusted for the above.
We’re also making our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services available to all members impacted — even if you don’t have EAP as part of your health benefits. If you need counseling or support during this time, please reach out for help by calling 877-208-8240 or online at AnthemEAP.com. Log in using the word “wildfires.”
These steps will be in effect from June 11, 2013 until further notice. Medicare Advantage members may have specific guidelines — contact Member Services to find out more.
