Dental Blue Large Group

A Totally New Approach with More Reasons to Smile
Dental Blue is the first dental PPO product that allows employers with more than 51 employees to choose from three networks — networks that together represent one of the most significant dental PPO networks in the nation.
Our unique PPO three-tier network offers employers the opportunity to balance access and affordability at multiple price points. Dental Blue contracted dentists are credentialed providers. And, our contracted specialists — like oral surgeons and periodontists — participate in all three Dental Blue networks.
More dentists. More locations. More in-network use.
Employers choose one Dental Blue network as their plan network. Employees who choose a provider in that plan network will enjoy the most savings in their dental costs. However, no matter which specific network employers choose, their employees have access to providers in all three Dental Blue networks and can still take advantage of the dentists’ negotiated rates. Employees can even choose a non-Dental Blue dentist, but their out-of-pocket costs will probably be higher.
Greater access to more dentists in more locations increases:
The likelihood that employees will have access to their own dentist, increasing their satisfaction with their dental plan
Employee in-network participation
The probability that employees will make regular visits to their dentists to potentially prevent major dental problems that could be more costly from both a claims and lost work time perspective
Regular dental check-ups may also assist in the early detection of some health-related issues. According to the American Academy of Periodontology, gum and tooth disease have been linked to major health problems such as heart disease, strokes, respiratory disease and diabetes.
More affordable coverage without cutting back on benefits.
Dental Blue premiums are based on both the network and the plan options selected. So, instead of cutting back on benefits to control costs, employers now select from one of three networks that meets their needs.
Better because of additional savings for employers.
In addition to the network claims savings, Dental Blue also offers members out-of-pocket savings through the availability of regular PPO discounts for non-covered services and for times when a member exceeds the annual plan maximum.
