Genesis Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Reach Multi-Year Network Participation Agreement

December 30, 2024 — Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Genesis Health have reached a new network participation agreement that will keep Genesis in Anthem’s employer-sponsored, individual, and Medicaid health plan networks. This means that Anthem members covered by these health plans will have ongoing access to affordable care at Genesis.
As part of the new agreement, effective Wednesday, January 1, 2025, both organizations will work together to implement value-based care delivery and payment programs that provide additional payment based on health outcomes improvements. These models have proven to improve health outcomes while lowering healthcare costs for patients and employers.
In accordance with confidentiality requirements, the terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.
