Extra Care to Manage Your Condition

Your prescription drugs are covered through Medicare Part D. If you have both Medicaid and Medicare through Anthem MyCare, the plan will generally cover your drugs as long as:

 The drug is medically necessary.




 The prescription is filled at an Anthem MyCare network pharmacy and other plan rules are followed.

It’s important to understand how prescription drug coverage works and the options available to you. Some medications may require approval before we cover it.

You can start by checking to see if the drugs you take regularly are on the plan’s list of covered drugs, or Formulary, and what Tier they are in.

Any medicines not covered by Medicare Part D may be covered by Medicaid through Anthem MyCare and can be found our list of Medicaid covered items.
