Search for Providers in Ohio

Get the care you need
Use our search tool below to find a plan provider close to home. You can search by name, specialty, location, and more.
Search for many different types of providers, like:
- Primary care providers (PCP)
- Specialists
- Hospitals
- Behavioral health providers (mental health and substance use)
- Labs (to get tests)
- Urgent care centers
- Pharmacies
Your primary care provider (PCP)
Your main doctor is called a primary care provider (PCP). You can choose your PCP from the many doctors who work with us. Each family member can have a different PCP, or you can choose one to take care of the whole family.
For those new to the Anthem MyCare plan, you can continue to meet with your doctor for at least 90 days after you enroll. If your current doctor does not work within the Anthem MyCare plan, your Care Coordinator can work with you to get the care you need from the right provider.
If you had previous approval to receive services, our plan would honor that approval until you receive those services. This is called a “transition period.”
After the allotted transition period, you will need to receive services and use care providers within the Anthem MyCare health plan network.
Member Services can also help you find a network provider. If you are currently using a care provider that is not a network provider or if you already have services approved and/or scheduled, it is important that you call Member Services right away so we can arrange those services and avoid any billing issues.
Call Member Services at 833-727-2169 (TTY 711) for more information.

Preapprovals
You may need preapproval for certain services. Preapproval is when your doctor asks us to approve a service before you receive it. Your PCP will work with us to get the approval you need.
You don’t need preapproval for:
- Primary care services
- Women’s healthcare services
- Family planning services
- Services provided at local health departments
- Emergency care
- Urgent care
- Some behavioral health services (mental health and substance use services)
You can review the list of services that require prior authorization we’ve posted here or check your Member Handbook or Evidence of Coverage.
Referrals
Your primary care provider (PCP) can take care of many of your needs, but you may need care from another type of care provider. If you do, your PCP may send you to a specialist. This is called a referral.
If you want to go to a doctor who isn’t your PCP, talk to your PCP first. If needed, they will refer you to a specialist in your plan.
