How a Family Advocate Supported a Member’s Mental Health

Carlos, an Anthem member, was looking for a therapist after his provider left town without notice. He was having trouble locating a provider and needed refills on his medication. As Carlos said, “I’m in a situation where I need help.”

That’s when an Anthem Family Advocate, Bob, stepped in to help coordinate Carlos’ care, find him a new therapist, and ensure he remained connected to the right resources.  Carlos shared, “He [Bob] owned my problem and didn't stop until he found somebody for me."
