Your vision insurance can help keep your vision wellness on track. Most vision insurance plans include annual eye exams with only a copay. Just be sure your plan has an in-network optometrist in your area.
If your eye doctor prescribes prescription eyeglasses, most vision insurance plans will cover new eyeglass lenses every 1 or 2 years including single, bifocal, or trifocal lenses. New eyeglass frames are also available every 1 or 2 years, based on the allowance.
Depending on your vision plan, you may also receive contact lenses both conventional and disposable, based on your allowance.
Tip: Many vision plans offer savings on eyewear lens upgrades such as transition lenses, progressive lenses, anti-reflective coating, tint, or polycarbonate lenses.
